Breaking the cycle of pain and appointments.

Preface

I remember in first year uni asking one of my lecturers if they knew the difference between an Osteopath and a Chiropractor. They said they weren’t entirely sure.
I recall thinking, if they don’t know, how on earth is the average person meant to know?
It was the start of a long journey of unravelling just how poorly equipped the average person is to interpret their own body.
The more I’ve learnt over my 10 years of practice, the more it dawns on me that the majority of what I teach, and the majority of what allied health practitioners do, can be made accessible to the average person.
If we know nothing about our bodies, we are forever out-sourcing responsibility, listening to the person in the buttoned up shirt, for our 30 minutes, for our $100.
In lieu of building a positive and sustainable relationship with our bodies, we’re stuck in a cycle of feeling ok, until pain kicks in, going and seeing someone, and hoping it disappears soon.
My life’s work has been trying to map the bare-minimum understanding, stability, strength, and self awareness that a modern human needs to not fear aches, pains, and the dreaded health bills.
